Ferrari Esports Series gears up for its fourth edition, set to take place in April and feature high-speed sim racing on Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione. In a historic first, the competition will now welcome racers from Australia and New Zealand, as they join the Asia Pacific heats to face off against the top sim racers from Europe and North America.

During the launch show, Ferrari Esports Series unveiled a new racing format for the tournament. Spanning six months, sim racers will compete head-to-head on Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione, vying for a spot in the grand final on October 12, 2023. The ultimate goal is to be crowned the 2023 Ferrari Esports Series Champion and secure a place on the Scuderia Ferrari Esports Team.

Registration for the series is now open for the Hot Lap phase, with the legendary SPA circuit serving as the first track of the series, and racing starting on May 1st. The racing schedule includes several qualifiers and regional races, culminating in the grand final on October 12. The entire tournament will be broadcast on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook, with Julia Hardy and Mike Channell serving as hosts.

“We are excited to welcome the Asia-Pacific region to the 2023 Ferrari Esports Series,” said Annabel Rochfort, Director of Location Based Entertainment and Esports for Ferrari. “With countries like Australia and Japan known for producing exceptional sim racing talent, we are eager to see the level of competition that this region will bring to the table. Our commitment to providing a competitive and entertaining platform for sim racing remains unwavering as we expand our esports footprint.”

2022 Ferrari Esports Champion Jonathan Riley shared his thoughts on the series, saying, “The Ferrari Esports Series is not like any other sim racing competition. It’s six intense months of high-speed racing against the world’s best amateur sim racers, all with one common goal in mind. It’s a chance to sit among the best sim drivers and compete for the greatest motorsport brand in the world.”

In addition to the racing calendar, the 2023 Ferrari Esports Series will also feature a season of video content, including the return of Ferrari 101, a series offering tips for aspiring sim racers, and Off The Grid, a documentary following last year’s champion Jonathan Riley. With the addition of the Asia-Pacific region and exciting new content, the 2023 Ferrari Esports Series is shaping up to be a thrilling and action-packed tournament.

The full season of racing will be broadcast on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.
