Picture this: the velvet curtain parts, and red spotlights cast a glow over the assembled audience in the Sydney Spiegeltent. You can sense the electricity in the air, the palpable excitement as a world of sensuality unfolds. This is no ordinary show; it’s an invitation to indulge in a symphony of the senses, leaving you breathless from both laughter and heat, yearning for an encore.

Rouge was flirty, dirty, and undeniably fun

As someone who had previously experienced two shows at the Sydney Spiegeltent, I had certain expectations—and boy, did they deliver! Securing two tickets for the opening night of the new show Rouge, I brought along an unexpected guest: my Mum. While I knew the shows could get quite heated, it turned out to be one of the best experiences to share with her.

As someone who identifies as both Non-Binary and Bisexual, it was immensely satisfying to witness on-stage representations of these identities. The show, Rouge, aimed to showcase different forms of intimacy, sexual attraction, and love. All of this was intertwined with stunning displays of aerial, vocal, comedic, and impressive feats of strength!

Rouge was flirty, dirty, and undeniably fun, leaving the audience eager for more! The chemistry among the cast was infectious, demonstrating camaraderie while executing death-defying and impressive stunts. They left a lasting impression, making me ponder learning how to expertly whip a rose out of a man’s mouth while donning a killer black lace teddy.

So, seize the opportunity, bring your Mum (or other significant people in your life), and immerse yourself in the world of Rouge. Running until the 17th of December, it promises an outrageously entertaining night out. Don’t forget to bring water—after all, you might need it to cool off and soothe your throat from cheering and laughing so much!
